Our Beliefs

divider

“We exist to bring glory to God through gospel-centered teaching,

gospel-centered worship, and gospel-centered service.”

While we are happy to clearly state our beliefs on these topics, we also want to state that this document does not constitute a formal creed. For membership into His Church, we only require what the Bible requires for salvation. We do ask, however, that those interested in becoming active members of this local body to take our Explore Series in order to unite us in a common mission and purpose. Please check the Explore Membership tab for the date and time of our next Explore Series.

God:

The Bible teaches that God is Creator of our world and Sustainer and Lord of our lives. All persons of all races have been created in the image of the one and only God and stand in need of the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is God come in the flesh. He is the one and only living Son of God and our Savior. Through Him, God opened the way of abundant and eternal life through His death, burial, and resurrection to all who call on Christ’s name.

The Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is God himself encouraging, guiding, and transforming us in the way of Christ.

Salvation:

God sent Christ into the world to save sinners. We believe that salvation is open to all people and that all are called to this end. We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ provides the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe.

The Bible:

The Bible is the inspired, written Word of God. It is the authoritative rule of faith and practice for Christians and the Church. Jesus instituted a new covenant with God that succeeded and transcended His former covenant with the People of Israel; hence, we accept the Old Testament as preparatory to the New and we rejoice that we are related to God through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and not through the Law.

The Church:

The Church exists to seek and save the world. Therefore we send evangelists to rescue the world through Christ. We participate in efforts to improve community life. We want to feed the hungry, offer hospitality to the stranger, clothe the needy, minister to the sick, and visit the imprisoned as Jesus instructed.

gospel-Centered Service

We offer nursery care for infants and Children’s Church for 4 year olds – kindergarteners during both services.

Creekside Kidz’  Elementary age classes will restart August 11th.
Our Youth Group, “Creekside Collective,” meets Wednesday evenings from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm. All 6th graders – high school seniors are welcome, even if they don’t attend Creekside on Sunday.

Creekside Collective will not be meeting during the month of August due to youth room renovations.
Ladies meet regularly for Bible Studies, community events, and lots of fun! Also, look for our Facebook page named WOWSA if you would like to meet up with other active ladies for hikes, runs, and other outdoor activities.
The men of Creekside get together every Saturday morning (8:00 am) at the church for breakfast, fellowship, study, and prayer. Men of all ages are invited!
Creekside’s missions committee seeks to join God in fulfilling the Great Commission in the most effective ways possible. Please visit our Missions page for more information on the missionaries we support.
Living Waters Coffee
Our coffee shop is our newest ministry, and is run completely by volunteers, with all profits going to our currently supported missionaries & ministries.
Music is one element of a life of worship, and our team takes on this creative endeavor with passion! They focus on heart and excellence for God, blending styles and blurring genre lines in an effort to glorify our awesome Creator.
Broadcast & Media
The broadcast team runs multiple cameras under the supervision of a video director and sound operator. This allows for quality live streaming, archived sermons, and for the services to be viewed on screens throughout our building.
Media operators run the lighting, lyrics, and on-screen sermon material each Sunday to provide visual arts support.
Leave your handwritten prayers on the Prayer Board outside the office, give them to the office staff to be shared privately, and gather together on Monday evenings at 7:00 pm to pray over one another, our community, and our nation.
Members of Creekside may contact the office for access to the private online prayer board.
Stop by our bookstore to see what we have on hand, or order a book/resource with the help of one of our volunteers.

First Impressions
We want you to feel at home the moment you come through the doors! You’ll be greeted by some of our church family, ushers can help you find a seat, and there is always someone at the Connection Center to help answer all your questions and learn your way around.
Small Group
If you’ve only attended Creekside for our Sunday services, you’re missing out! We believe in living life together in community. In order to do that, we meet in homes and at the church during the week for Bible studies, service projects, and fellowship. If you haven’t already, we encourage you to get involved in our church body by joining a Small Group.
Want to find out what makes Creekside so special? Would you like to know more about our ministries, our faith, and how to become a member? Then we invite you to sign up for the Explore Series. This 2 week class will cover subjects such as church membership, how to mature in your faith, how to discover your ministry, and how to disciple other people.
