Companionship with Christ – Part 3
I John 2:1-6
1. Jesus Christ is our advocate
2. Jesus satisfied the wrath of God for all sin - He died for all people
3. When we walk in God's Word and Love, we can know we are close to Him
 
Main Idea: Jesus' advocacy and atoning death provide the opportunity for us to walk in God's Word and Love
 
What's Next? 
1. Do not take Jesus' advocacy for granted in your life
2. View everyone as someone that Jesus died for
3. Enjoy time with Jesus in His Word this week

    1. Embrace the grace of God, especially in your sanctification
    2. Wait eagerly for Jesus' return
    3. Ask Jesus to help you do the next obedient thing this week

    1. False teachers have the opposite character and conduct as spiritual leaders
    2. False teachers are to be rebuked and restored for their own good
    3. False teachers do not live out the implications of sound doctrine
    Main Idea - False teachers will be present in our culture, yet believers are to correct them so that they can be spiritually sound.
     
    What's Next:
    1. Be on your guard in what you take in and listen to
    2. Don't be afraid to stand up for and speak the truth in your conversations
    3. Always have the other person's best interest in mind when correcting spiritually
